In accordance with the regulations established by the Department of Health, Arkansas midwives are licensed to provide prenatal care, attend home births, and supervise the postpartum period. Kim's services are as a licensed midwife, not as a nurse, doctor, or other medical professional. She offers support and guidance, not pain medication, nor do her services use invasive medical equipment, or perform medical procedures.
